Thomas Marchevsky is a Lacanian psychoanalyst with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Saybrook University, an M.M. in jazz performance from The New England Conservatory of Music, and a B.A. in philosophy from WCSU. He is an Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Psychoanalysis. He is the Clinic Director of The Clinic Without Walls and adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). He has extensive training in humanistic/existential modalities and over 25 years of experience in Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice. His current research interests are topology, subjectivity, and jazz improvisation.
Dr. Thomas Marchevsky an Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Psychoanalysis and serves as Clinic Director of The Clinic Without Walls. He also serves as adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), where he teaches and supervises graduate students in clinical psychology. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Marchevsky has over two decades of experience in Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice and extensive training in humanistic and existential modalities. His research interests include psychoanalysis, topology, subjectivity, and jazz improvisation. He is an active contributor to the international psychoanalytic community, with publications in The European Journal of Psychoanalysis, Division/Review, and Routledge Press, and continues to advance dialogue at the intersections of psychoanalysis, philosophy, and culture.
Dr. Marchevsky has a background in Lacanian psychoanalysis, philosophy, and clinical psychology, with research that bridges psychoanalysis, topology, subjectivity, and jazz improvisation. He has co-edited and authored works on psychoanalysis and contemporary society, including Coronavirus, Psychoanalysis, and Philosophy: Conversations on Pandemics, Politics and Society (Routledge, 2021).
